About Us

Our Mission

We exist to respond to God’s supremacy by:

Reaching up in passionate worship
Reaching in through genuine obedience
Reaching out with the message of Christ to a lost and hurting world

We desire to call all people to be fully devoted followers of Christ. We want to be a church where:

  • every member is passionately, whole-heartedly, recklessly pursuing full devotion to Christ;
  • the hurting can easily connect with life-changing community;
  • everyone can have access to teaching that transforms;
  • authentic, selfless people – individuals whose very lives demand belief in the existence and power of God – are actively discovering, developing and deploying their gifts and resources for the Lord.

What We Believe

HOLY SCRIPTURES: We believe the scriptures, including both the old and new testaments to fully be the verbally inspired Word of God, written by men in God’s control, inerrant and infallible in the original manuscripts and the final authority in faith and life, (2 Timothy 3:15-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21; Psalm 19:7-9)

GODHEAD: We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit; these three being identical in essence, equal in power and glory, and possessing precisely the same attributes and perfections. (Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14)

FATHER: We believe in only one living and true God as the infinite, perfect, and eternal Spirit, in whom all things have their source, support and end, (Ephesians 4:6; Genesis 1:1; Acts 17:28)

LORD JESUS CHRIST: We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, became man, without ceasing to be God, having been conceived of the Holy Spirit, and born of the virgin Mary, in order that He might reveal God and redeem sinful man; that He accomplished our redemption through His death on the cross as a substitutionary sacrifice; and that our redemption is made sure to us by His literal physical resurrection, He is presently exalted at the right hand of the Father, interceding on our behalf. (John 1:1, 2:14; Luke 1:35; Romans 3:24; 1 Peter 1:3-5; Hebrews 10:10-14; Hebrews 7:25)

HOLY SPIRIT: We believe that the Holy Spirit is the divine person who convicts the world of sin; that He alone brings new life to those who are spiritually dead; that He baptizes (or places) all believers into the one true church, which is the body of Christ; that He indwells them permanently, seals them unto the day of redemption, bestows spiritual gifts upon them, fills (controls) those who are yielding to Him. (John 3:3-8; 16:7-11; 1 Corinthians 12:13; John 14:16-17; Ephesians 2:8-9, 4:30; 1 Corinthians 12:7-11; Ephesians 5:18).

MAN: We believe that man was the direct creation of God, spirit, soul and body, made in the divine image; (Genesis 1:26-28, 2:7; 18-24; Matthew 19:4; 1 Thessalonians 5:23). Man was originally sinless and in perfect fellowship with God. By personal disobedience to the revealed will of God, man became a totally sinful creature, inherited a sinful nature, and became alienated from God, and of himself has no possible means of recovery or salvation. (Ephesians 2:1-3.12, 4:18; Romans 3:23, 5:12; John 8:42-44)

SALVATION: We believe that salvation is the gift of God’s grace. It cannot be gained by meritorious works, but is freely bestowed on all who put their faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ whose precious blood was shed for the forgiveness of our sins. All who so trust the Savior are forgiven of their sins and born into the family of God by the regenerating work of the Holy Spirit. (Ephesians 2:8-9; 1:7; John 1:12)

CHURCH: We believe that the true church, called in scripture the body of Christ, is a spiritual organism into which every person who has trusted Jesus Christ for salvation in this present age has been baptized by the Holy Spirit. The scripture also teaches the establishment and continuance of self governed and self supported local churches, groups of redeemed individuals joined together for worship, instruction, fellowship and service. (Ephesians 1:22; 1 Corinthians 12:13; Acts 2:42; 13:1-2) We also believe that there can be a spirit of cooperation and working together between local churches, when those churches are agreed In fundamental doctrine and purpose. (Galatians 3:28; Romans 16:17; 2 John 10.1)

ASSURANCE AND RESPONSIBILITY:
We believe that all the saved-those in whom God has accomplished His transforming work of grace-are kept by His power and are, thus, secure in Christ forever. It is their privilege to rejoice in the assurance of their salvation. However, this assurance is not the occasion for sin, for God in holiness cannot tolerate persistent sin in His children, but in infinite love He corrects them. True faith in Christ is expressed by a fruitful, God-pleasing life. (John 10:27-29; Romans 8:29-39; 1 John 5:13; Hebrews 12:6; Matthew 7:20; James 2:20; 1 Peter 1:3-5; Ephesians 4:30; Galatians 5:13)

FUTURE EVENTS: We believe that the next great event in God’s prophetic program will be the personal, imminent, pre-tribulation, and pre-millennial coming of the Lord Jesus Christ for his church, commonly known as the rapture of the church. (I Corinthians 15:51-57; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; Titus 2:14; Revelation 3:10, 19:11-16, 20:1-6)

We believe in the bodily resurrection of all men, the saved to eternal life, and the unsaved to eternal judgment and everlasting punishment. (Matthew 25:46; John 5:28-29, 11:25-26; Revelation 20:5-13)

We believe that the souls of the redeemed are, at death, absent from the body and present with the Lord, awaiting the resurrection at which time the spirit and soul will be reunited with glorified body, thus to be with him forever. (Luke 23:43; Revelation 20:4-6; 2 Corinthians 5:8; Philippians 1:23, 3:21; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18)

We believe that after death, the souls of the unredeemed remain in conscious misery until their appearance at the Great White Throne judgment, after which they will be cast into the lake of fire, where there will be everlasting, conscious punishment, in eternal separation from God. (Luke 16:19-26; Matthew 25:41-46; 2 Thessalonians 1:7-9; Jude 6.7; Revelation 20:11-15)
